In this success story, I speak with Brianna Beets, who went from 0 to 4 short term rental properties in 8 months and was able to quit her 9-5 job to become a full-time Airbnb host.

Brianna, who worked in HR prior to becoming a full-time Airbnb Host in less than 8 months of starting on the platform. Brianna, with the support of her husband and two toddlers, Lucas & Alley, she currently runs 4 SFH and helps manage 3 others, all located in Macomb Michigan. Brianna has built up a team of 3 cleaners along with having handymen and plumbers on hand.

Episode #01 Show Notes

1. Find out WHY people want to stay in your area.

2. When looking for a property manager, find someone who knows boots on the ground people for that area.

3. When finding a team, use the Airbnb groups to ask others for recommendations. Also, go to local REA groups and ask others who they use.

4. Never publish an ad for “cleaners wanted” instead ask “Does anyone have any good recommendations for cleaners?”

5. Have a theme for your property to help stand out.

6. Have a price you will not go below so you don’t deal with bad guests.

7. Don’t just say YES to any property, look for a property that will suit your needs otherwise, you will pay with headache and time.

8. Be sweet like apple pie to Airbnb because they can pull recordings and you want to be on their good side.

9. Keep your house rules short, no more than 10.

10. Golden house rule: “Any violation of the house rules may incur a fee.”
